I think you believe me, you just don’t understand why.
Shit my dad says
I woke up to the smell of my dad dabbling in the kitchen. I came out of the spare room (which used to be mine and my sisters room) poured my coffee and stood there looking at my dad. He said, “good morning baby” like usual. This was our conversation:
Dad: What do you eat for breakfast?
Me: Anything. No beef or chicken…
Dad: So pork then?
Me: No dad.
Dad: No meat ever?
Me:...
You Don't Know All The Answers
By and large, people don’t like to live in the realm of “not knowing.” It’s terrifying. Which is why everybody wants to have all the answers. Atheists think science has the answers. Religious fundamentalists believe their particular theology does. But “not knowing” is a richer and more gratifying place to be. I have no idea what’s going to happen to me,...
Day 8 - Worst Job I Ever Had
Hands down the AT&T customer service call center job I had. I had previously worked in sales and repair in a store. This was done on commission. I was successful but the money was never guaranteed. I moved to the call center and went through this extensive 6 week training class. It was really fun and challenging, I was pumped about getting out there on my own. What they don’t tell you...
Day 7 - Best Job I Ever Had
This is easy. I worked at a video store in the town I grew up in. So basically it was the biggest video store in town and we sorta prided ourselves on being to coolest peeps around. This was all because of my boss. He was truly one of the best influences of my life. Introduced me to all sorts of music and movies. Endless conversation and discussions. Learning about life, love, and people. A real...
Day 6 - Five Favorite Songs
Some of my all time favs. Not all by any means.
1. Fall Out Boy - Golden
2. Alanis Morissette - Uninvited
3. Kate Bush - Running up that Hill (Placebo also remade this and I almost like it better)
4. Charlotte Martin - The Dance
5. Heart - Alone
You danced with me in the kitchen.
Day - 5 Favorite Childhood Memory
As you may have read, we moved away from all of our extended family when I was 3. However, we did visit every Thanksgiving. My grandmother lived in a small trailer that shared a huge yard with my Aunt and Uncle and my two cousins. We cooked all day at Grandma’s and would carry everything across the yard to have dinner with the rest of our huge family. Everybody brought food, so it ended up...
Day 4 - Ten Places You Want to Visit
1. Roslin Castle - Midlothian, Scotland - rich in history and so beautiful, not far from Edinburgh (if you’ve seen The Da Vinci Code, you know this castle)
2. Alaska - photography paradise! I want to stand in one of the ankle deep rivers and watch the fish swim by.
3. Ireland - More castles! Pubs and the Irish!
4. Niagara Falls - because it’s Niagara Falls!
5. Bangor, Maine in the...
Day 3 - Hometown location & facts
I was born in Maryville, IL, a small town just outside of St. Louis. My Mom and Dad were both from that area, so most of our family was located there. I don’t remember a whole lot of this time, but I know my parents were really happy. When I was 3, and my sister was 1, we moved to New Braunfels, Texas for my Dad’s job. I do remember this. It was like moving to another country....

30 Day Tumblr Project
Day 2 - How did you get your Tumblr name? Better Than Ezra is my favorite band. Insert my name at the end and ta-da! Sorry…not so interesting.
